Mystical Musings: The thoughts of JWST 367

Question #1 - What do you think Jewish Mysticism is? What are its parameters? Boundaries? Is there anything you think it should discuss? Anything you think it shouldn't?

When I think of Jewish mysticism, the first thought that comes to mind is the afterlife. There huge pressure for the human to understand what happens after a person dies, yet sometimes to much thought on the afterlife can take away from the present. Therefore my original notion to think of the after life is transformed to that of the present. In this case I feel Jewish mysticism explores the true stores from the bible. It gives further detail and explanation behind the visits that the prophets received from angels as well as the holy one. I think mysticism aims to help understand the bible and our past so that we can live better lives in the present.
